Creepy optimism.
I realized today that, I, somehow, have changed into an optimistic person.  I’m thoroughly creeped out right now because I’ve always been a realist, or a practical person, or a pessimist, or whatever you call it…just never an optimist. This creepy new skin feels kinda nice =)

Sweet tooth linked to pleasant disposition: Study
Does having a sweet tooth make a person more agreeable and friendly? New research suggests there could be a link between taste preferences and disposition. Scientists in the United States found that a liking for sweeter foods is an indication that a person is more agreeable and helpful, but not extroverted or neurotic. “It is striking that helpful and friendly people are considered...

Who knew there is proper hot dog etiquette!
According to the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council, here are the dos and don’ts to eating “America’s sacred food”: Don’t… Put hot dog toppings between the hot dog and the bun. Always “dress the dog,” not the bun. Condiments should be applied in the following order: wet condiments like mustard and chili are applied first, followed by chunky...

Scientists at Tufts University have refined a method that allows people to send messages using fluorescent strains of Escherichia coli. There’s enough color combinations to encode the entire alphabet, the numbers 0 to 9 and a few symbols. The procedure, called steganography by printed arrays of microbes (SPAM), starts in the lab where the bacteria are arranged in color-coded messages and...

You think I’m a malformed, pathetic excuse for a font. Well think again, nerdhole, because I’m Comic Sans, and I’m the best thing to happen to typography since Johannes fucking Gutenberg. You don’t like that your coworker used me...

Hooray! It's crabapple jelly time!
One of the best things about fall other than pumpkin flavored desserts is crabapples! I love making crabapple jelly, the way it makes my house smell and the beautiful color it produces.  This year, I decided to make crabapple jelly with a hint of lavender, orange blossom, and honey =D It is all smiles in this household (and stomach)!
