One of the best things about fall other than pumpkin flavored desserts is crabapples!
I love making crabapple jelly, the way it makes my house smell and the beautiful color it produces.
This year, I decided to make crabapple jelly with a hint of lavender, orange blossom, and honey =D
It is all smiles in this household (and stomach)!

Trees cocooned in spiders webs, an unexpected side effect of the flooding in Sindh, Pakistan
An unexpected side-effect of the flooding in parts of Pakistan has been that millions of spiders climbed up into the trees to escape the rising flood waters.Because of the scale of the flooding and the fact that the water has taken so long to recede, many trees have become cocooned in spiders webs. People in this part of Sindh have never seen this phenomenon before - but they also report that there are now less mosquitoes than they would expect, given the amount of stagnant, standing water that is around.
It is thought that the mosquitoes are getting caught in the spiders web thus reducing the risk of malaria, which would be one blessing for the people of Sindh, facing so many other hardships after the floods.

Amazing photograph, I did not realize that it was a photo until I read the descriptions!
Description by the photographer:
The tree - your neural network, your brain
The fruits - your memories
The birds - your outside world
and, the cocktail - your dreams!
I’ve been having a lot of dreams lately, mostly of repressed thoughts and emotions.
Wishing the dreams are as black and white as it is shown in this photograph, but of course, just as the way things are in the word…it never is. They come in waves, perpetual retreat and approach. Never a clear answer to their purpose.
What are some of your dreams and do you understand them?
